Color of Liberty

We wrote, drew, and colored this comic inspired by the Haitian Revolution. The process took 4 years of research, speaking with dozens of cultural experts, writers, martial artists, and illustrators.

Ashe Rose : Falter

Our second client, Ashe Rose Comics, commissioned us to visually develop and illustrate her first comic. Joshua Brown provided the colors. As the comic came closer to completion, we assisted our client's crowdfunding efforts by securing promotion through podcasts and social media marketing.

Essence : Return of the Guardians

Our first client commissioned us to visually develop and completely execute her comic. We designed the characters, illustrated all pages, and connected our client to a comic printer to have physical copies of their work.

Budget Friendly

Limited Animation

Limited animation uses fewer frames per second, often reuses backgrounds and movements, and employs static elements to reduce the number of unique drawings.

Characteristics:
- Economical and time-efficient.
- Often used in television cartoons to reduce costs.
- Emphasizes dialogue and story over fluid motion.

Pose-to-Pose Animation

Pose-to-pose animation involves creating key poses at significant points in the action, with in-between frames added later to create the illusion of motion.
Characteristics:
- Balanced approach between limited and full animation.
- Key poses are drawn first to establish the main action.
- Tweening (in-betweening) is used to fill in the motion.
- Allows for greater control and planning of movements.

Frame-by-Frame Animation (Full Animation)

Frame-by-frame animation, also known as full animation, involves creating a unique drawing for each frame of the animation sequence, resulting in very fluid and detailed motion.
Characteristics:
- High frame rate (often 24 frames per second).
- Each frame is individually drawn, leading to smooth and realistic movements.
- Time-consuming and resource-intensive.
- Offers the highest level of detail and expression.
